Istros Books is proud to announce a series of author events planned around this year's London Book Fair.

Istros Books is proud to announce a series of author events planned around this year's London Book Fair, featuring Montenegrin novelist, Andrej Nikolaidis and Croatian novelist, Robert Perisic, along with the English translator of their books, Will Firth. Both authors are top-rated, prize-winning novelists and journalists in their home countries and will be appearing in the UK for the first time.

First stop will be an author event at Europe House, Smith Square, London. Andrej Nikolaidis will be the guest of the Montenegrin Embassy in London. The launch of his novel, 'The Coming' will be held at 18:30 on Monday, April 16th.

Then, on Tuesday 17th April, the two writers will come together for an important event organised at the European Bank (EBRD), Liverpool Street. 'Translating Transition - the politics of writing in South East Europe' will be the title of the event at the European Bank, which will be held at the banks' headquaters from 12:00 till 14:00 and chaired by Larry Sherwin. In the afternoon of the 17th, the author Robert Perisic will be at the Croatian Embassy, 21 Conway Street, W1.Perisic will be in conversation with his English translator Will Firth, revealing the process behind the writing of his best-selling novel 'Our Man in Iraq', and the process of translating him for the UK market. Tuesday, April 17th at 7 pm.

On Wednesday, April 18th April, Andrej Nikolaidis will be participating at two events at the London Book Fair itself. Hosted by the English PEN Cafe and the Literary Translation Centre, Andrej will be talking about his European Prize for Literature win and what this has meant to him as a writer.

On Thursday, April 19th, everyone will come together for again for an event at the Free Word Centre, 60 Farringdon Road, EC1, which will concentrate on issues of translation from small languages and will be organised in association with Literature Across Frontiers. Both events will include Nikolaidis and Perisic, along with the translator Will Firth and literary agent and publisher, Ivan Srsen.
