Born in 1970, Aslı Biçen studied English Language and Literature at Bosphorus University. As a literary translator she translated more than 50 titles including Faulkner, Absalom Absalom, Barnes, Nightwood, Dickens, Bleak House and Rushdie, Midnight’s Children.
She’s a founder member of the Translator’s Association. She’s published three novels, Elime Tutun (2005), İnceldiği Yerden (2008), Tehdit Mektupları (2011). She’s a passionate gardener and a promoter of growing one’s own food.
